It all starts with a twitter

“Adding final servers for the political super-weapon.”

and everyone looses their heads without thinking (never happens with me, nope, never -sarcasm off).

For those of you who don’t know, the tweet is from Matt Meier, CEO of RackNine Inc.  Did he have some kind of evil super weapon of mass destruction that he was about to unleash on our Canadian Democracy?   Errrr, NO!  Seriously people, there is a very reasonable and simple explanation for this tweet.  Matt Meier is a Phone/Computer geek, known fact.  Many of his clients during the 2011 Election were CPC campaigns.  None of this is illegal or even questionable.  His “Political Super Weapon” was most likely nothing more than a set of dedicated computer servers for the purpose of RoboCalling that he was putting on line for dedicate use for his CPC Campaign clients.  With dedicated servers he would have been able to provide a higher quality of service for his CPC Election Campaign clientele.  Anything questionable about this? Nope.  He is a man making a living and he knows which side his bread is butter on.  His phase “Political Super Weapon” is no more nefarious than the CRU’s data “Trick”.

An Interesting Question though is whether Pierre Poutine was given access to his “Political Super Weapon” or whether Pierre Poutine was just given access to the normal server pool.  To this question I have no answer.  An answer to that question would be very informative about the Pierre Poutine’s political connections, but this is all speculation based on an interpretation of a tweet,… But given some of the information that has come to light about the Pierre Poutine’s persona (a student completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Ottawa), my guess is that he was put into the normal serve pool.

Too listen to question period in HoC today, and from what read, any day this week MP Del Mastro is more like Dean del MastroRoboto.  He’s like a robot with a broken MP3 player that keeps on repeating the same tiring old songs.

Will some one the CPC and PMO update MastroRoboto’s play lists please, maybe with some useful information and answers.  Now there’s a tune rarely heard on Parliament Hill.  If you don’t change your tune soon Deanie Boy, I’m going to stick that frownie  face of yours on a Dalek chaise.

UPDATE - Stephen Taylor has gotten back to me on this issue, after much badgering on my part (I think it was the Dean del Mastro comparison that finally got to him).  So in a Twitter exchange (the one which he responded to, and personally I don’t think 140 character micro blogging really is suitable for this issue) I asked the following;

1. What specific Voter Suppression methods were discussed?
2. Why were these methods discussed?
3. And was Pierre Poutine there?

Update one the Update

It has come to my attention after reading some news reports that John Fryer, who made the initial reports about the Manning Centre’s Election Training has issued an apology regarding his remarks (see below)   I for one have no desire to be involved in another party’s legal fights when it comes to defamation or even possible defamation.  For this reason I am removing the contents of this article until such time that they can be confirmed or denied.

Second Update - I am restoring the parts of this article that are still valid and accurate.
Lets us summarize from yesterday quickly

1. Elections Canada distributes voters lists to all parties
2. Voter lists consist of the name and address, no phone numbers, no polling station
3. The Political Parties have to marry the EC voter lists with phone numbers
4. Therefore Pierre Poutine’s RoboList had to come from one of the Political Parties databases.
5. Elections Canada has revealed that for the first time, occurring in the 2011 election, one party request the polling information every voter on the lists. Elections Canada gave this information to the CPC on the request to the CPC.
6. So the CPC had to have a purpose for this added information and had the mechanisms in place to utilize it.
7. The CPC Guelph campaign used Rack-Nine to do their automated phone calls.
8. The CPC Guelph campaign mysteriously forgot to include their Rack-Nine invoices in their financial statement to Elections Canada.
9. Pierre Poutine purchased and used a “Burner” Cell Phone from the Guelph area.
10. Pierre Poutine used Rack-Nine to commit his voter suppression fraud.
11. The CPC still refuse to release their phone records publicly.
12. The CPC earlier refused to grant Elections Canada the powers to audit local campaign financial records, instead allowing local campaign’s do their own private audits.

Now the CPC is willing to support the NDP motion to grant Elections Canada more powers Which don’t get me wrong, is a step forward, but these power will not come into effect for at least six months and some people whom I have talked to say that these new powers will not come into effect until the next election. So right now, it doesn’t change squat.

RoboCon - Lets Examine Some More of the Facts

1. Elections Canada distributes voters lists to all parties that are running  at the start of the election and a send update list three days before the official election date.
2. Elections Canada’s voter list consist of the voters name and address, no phone numbers, no polling station information.
3. The Political Parties have to marry the EC voter lists with phone numbers

From this we can conclude that Pierre Poutine had to have gotten this phone lists from one of the Party Campaign lists, there is no way around that, so deal with it.  Now there is one more trick Poutine had to be able to pull off, he had to be able to differentiate each voter phone number with a polling station in order to redirect them to a fake polling station, of his choosing,  that was still within their polling area.

Mighty convenient isn’t it, I’d like to hear how this lack of independent oversight is going to catch future “missed and forgotten”  invoices.  Seems mighty convenient for a party convicted of breaking election spending rules in the past to easily hide present and future spending violations.

So who is trying to hide what now?

Let’s be perfectly clear here, it Doesn’t Matter One Rotting Dingo’s Kidney whether the people who perpetrated the voter suppression crime in last years election are linked to the CPC, or the Liberals, or the NDP or to the Church of Scientology.  They need to caught and punished to the fullest extent of the law provides.  If they are tied to a political party or worked for a specific political party’s campaign then those links need to be investigated .

It also doesn’t matter what my political leanings are, those leanings do not change the fact that this happened in more than one election riding.  My political leanings will have zero effect on the politics and motives of the criminals who perpetrated this crime against our democracy.

So if it turns out to be Liberals trying to suppress their own vote in the off chance that it might make the CPC and Harper look bad, so be, I’ll still demand that feel full weight of the law come crashing down on their heads.  Do I think this is some nefarious, diabolical Liberal plot to make Harper look bad, nope.

The only people in Ottawa who are not coming clean are the CPC.  I think it is a safe bet that they already have a very good idea who is behind it and they will protect that person come hell or high water.  Not out any sense of loyalty or gratitude for a job well done, no.  They will protect that person only because if their identity is publicly known and they are link to the CPC, it will be the CPC that will tarred and feathered with guilt by association, and rightfully so.  But that is my opinion, effect on reality, zero. DEAL!

I had given up on blogging and then I dabbled with it for a bit, off an on.  The reasons for leaving are complicated,… various events in the blogosphere sour my taste for it,… certain events in my life just made me loose interest in the task,… And then, when I finally thought I was out, the big pile of dead stupid (aka The Harper Government) pulled me back in.

When I first heard about RoboCon, I figured, “mhah, just the usual bs from Ottawa”  Then the evidence started to mount.  So ok, one firm case in Guelph, could easily be an isolated case.  Then the other ridings started reporting the same thing,…

Sigh, I can not ignore an assault on our democracy like this.  This is worse than ADScam, this is worse than Buckets of Gewal (sp?), this is for worse than the In & Out scandal.

So I’m back, I’m going to dust off my Digital Graphics Tablet, I’m going to hunt down all my graphic files (this might take awhile), I’m going to dig out all my graphics software.  Not sure how often I’m going to post, not promising anything.  The Daily Zorpheous may be Daily, maybe weekly,…

SO FEAR MY SQUIRRELLY WRATH!!!

The one thing that always amazes me about Politics, when you are accused of doing something wrong, and if you didn’t do it (ADScam, In and Out, RoboCon whatever) why not just lay your cards on the table and serve up the opposition parties a huge, heaping pile of SHUT THE FUCK UP!

The voter suppression in Guelph, and in Windsor–Tecumseh, and in Nipissing-Timiskaming, all three ridings are now being actively investigated by Election Canada,… so the CPC excuse “It was an isolated incident” just doesn’t wash anymore.

Well the Liberals yesterday ask the CPC to release their election call logs to help demonstrate that they had nothing to do with voter suppression in these and other ridings.  So what does a party that has nothing to hide do?  Well MP Dean Del Mastro accused the Liberal of being the source of the phone calls and that it was Liberals that should release their phone records.

So, the Liberals are responsible for the criminal act of voter suppression (suppressing their own voters in order to win the election,… still not sure how that one works).  Ok, so what does the accused party of Liberals do?  Do they bluster and obfuscate?  Nope Bob Rae says “Sure we’ll release our records,…” , thus serving up a huge, heaping pile of shut the fuck up to Dean Del Mastro and the CPC.  Mean while the CPC are still refusing to release their records,… so who is hide what now?

In other related news, it seems that the Rack-Nine expenses incurred by the CPC Guelph campaign where not reported to Election Canada, as required law,… so who is hiding what now?  We are told of course it was all just horrible oversight,… be interesting to see if they went over their spending limits?  I wonder if there are any PayPal transfers that they forgot list as well,….

RoboCon, RoboGate and/or RoboCalls,… Listening to the various CPC RoboPosters this whole RoboScandal is some massive diabolical Liberal/Dipper/Anarchist/OccupyWallStr. Drum Circle conspiracy to make Harper and the CPC look bad.

So lets see if you can make sense of this Liberal/Dipper/Anarchist/OccupyWallStr. Drum Circle conspiracy works.

1. Liberal/Dipper/Anarchist/Occupy Drum Circle operative buys a burner phone in Quebec
2. Obtains phone list for ridings that target people whom are unlikely to vote for the CPC candidate in those riding.
3. Produces a professional sounding voice recording to tell people that polling station has moved and directs them to a new polling location (this is literally means hundreds of different message recording)
4. Call Rack-9 and sets up an account.
5. Uploads hundreds of voice messages to Rack-9 with correct corresponding polling station phone lists
6. Sends out vote suppression messages to maybe as many as 77 riding, effecting about 1000 polling station.
7. Liberal/NDP/Green, aka non CPC supporters are redirected fake polling locations.
8. Liberal/NDP/Green victory,….
9. Errr, ok, in the future the Liberals and NDP get to make the CPC look bad,… errr

Ya, simply doesn’t wash.  So maybe some incredibly bright CPC’er can explain to us exactly how suppressing your own voters on Election Day help you win an election or provide you any sort of real tangible benefit.

Of course reality simply isn’t jiving with the CPC Robots, seems that Election Canada isn’t chasing the Liberal/NDP theory, but instead is furiously investigating the CPC campaign in Guelph.  Now the investigation is turning up all sorts of *cough* oddities.  Seem that CPC Guelph team never reported the expenses with RackNine, OOPS!  But remember people it is all above board, nothing to see we.  Next, Election Canada is tighting the noose on the Robocaller and are now odering PayPal Canada to produce the records on this criminal.   Still it gets better, the CPC HoC goons demanded that the Liberal produce their call records for the election, because it was the Liberals after,… Bob Rae, “ok we’ll release them”  Later, del monster, CPC load mouth “Are we going to release ours, no, because there is no need, becuase we were not behind it,… LOOK BRIGHT SHINY THINGY”.  In closing, Ekection Canad is now investigating two more ridings now,…. One rogue CPC staffer doing voter suppressing, ok, two,… maybe a coincident,…. THREE?  nope, this requires co-ordination.  Someone in the CPC maybe joining Patrick Ross
