Alta. oil pipeline leaked 28,000 barrels

A pipeline break northeast of Peace River, Alta., has leaked 28,000 barrels of crude oil, during what is now considered to be one of the largest spills in the province’s history.

Emergency crews were cleaning up a massive oil spill from a broken pipeline in northern Alberta Tuesday as regulators disclosed the leak was much larger than originally thought.

Wow, that bs council meeting last.  Councillors were not allowed talk about Audit Report, they were not allow to question the Auditor.  Well steamrollered his agenda through council and now one man is calling the shots at TCHC and we’ll have to watch this very closely.

Council Votes to Dissolve TCHC Board

…, council was there to debate whether to dismiss the board of the TCHC in the wake of a damning auditor general’s report about spending and procurement improprieties at the agency, but was forbidden by speaker Frances Nunziata from discussing that very report (which, in fact, has not even been formally presented to council yet).
