Well That SUCKED!!!
Just got hit on my bike while cycling south at Yonge Street. It happened at one of those intersection where it is two “T” intersections. I saw the guy creeping forward into the intersection and I was already in it. It was happening like it was molasses. I started to break and veer and knew it was too late. The only thought that went through y mind was, “This is really really going to hurt”
Surprisingly it didn’t hurt, a very minor scrap on my knee. My bike’s rear derailleur is really messed up thought. It can’t set a gear properly know when the chain is on the larger of two front sprockets.
Hopefully nothing else is damaged. There’s a bike shop right around the corner from my place and I’ll see how good the shop is.
This really sucks.

Yes, that does suck but really relieved to know that you were not hurt. Did the driver of the vehicle offer to pay for bike repairs?
In all honesty, the fault of the accident was mine, it was one of those two “T” intersection that are really long. I saw the red light, but it was about 150 feet further down the street, and I didn’t think it was applied to the side street I was passing. The driver was very happy I wasn’t hurt, I was happy I wasn’t hurt, and I was happy I didn’t damage his car. All said and done, I’m lucky it is just a rear derailleur that needs to be replaced.
So then, all will be right in the world as soon as your bike is fixed, and your knee heals.
Ya, took the bike in this afternoon. Local bike shop and we’ll see how he does. He had to order in the right Shimano dérailleur in so I’ll be without my bike until Wednesday. So I guess I’ll have to walking at night and finish paint my apartment. As for the knee, it is but a flesh wound!
