Fascist governments permanently suspend Parliamentary government. “Permanently” being the operative word.Even in cases where an arguably fascist state — for example, “Communist” China could be argued to be a fascist state — has a parliamentary assembly, it generally tends to be stripped of any robust legislative power, and engineered to be complacent to ruling interests.Neither one of those things are happening in Canada. We don’t have a secret police force rounding up and murdering opposition leaders. Nor is that going to happen.A joke is one thing. But isn’t a joke supposed to be funny?
